This change could be contributed to the current financial climate or may be partially down to the statistic that almost a fifth of motorists think servicing their car is a complete waste of money.

Motorists who choose not to have their car regularly serviced and maintained by a professional do increase the risk of their car eventually becoming unreliable or even worst unsafe.

This is viewpoint that was echoed by RMI Director Stuart James in response to the recent survey on car servicing by Manheim Auctions.

“Although motorists need to be aware of routine car maintenance such as checking tyre pressures and topping up oil, it is important that motorists understand that servicing work needs to be carried out by professionals for their own safety.” Stuart James, RMI Director.
