1. Rinse Off the Dust Regularly: Dry roads mean more dust, and that dust settles fast on your car’s surface. A quick hose down once a week can help stop dust from building up and scratching the paint. 

2. Use Two Buckets: Wash from top to bottom with a sponge, employing the two-bucket system: one bucket filled with soapy water and another filled with clean water for rinsing the sponge. This enables the dirt and grit to be rinsed off the sponge in the water bucket before dipping it back into the soapy water.  

3. Wax for Protection: Applying a coat of wax in early summer helps protect your paintwork from UV rays, bird droppings, and tree sap. It also makes it easier to rinse off dirt between washes. 

4. Avoid Parking Under Trees: It might seem like a good way to keep your car cool, but parking under trees can leave you with sap stains, bird mess, or even sticky leaves. Shade is good, but choose it wisely! 

5. Don’t Forget the Windows: Grime, bugs and smears can reduce visibility and make your car look neglected. Use a streak-free window cleaner to keep your windscreen and mirrors crystal clear.
