Ramping Up The Business

Matt Peacock, MD of Star Tech in Poole, shares his exciting workshop developments for the south coast’s leading Independent Specialist Service Centre.
Never one to miss an opportunity, Matt thought lockdown would be the perfect time to invest in a complete overhaul to revamp both Star Tech workshops on the company’s site in Poole. Matt explains “Despite remaining open, work had naturally eased allowing us time and space to completely revamp. We had wanted to improve the workshop space to be even more outstanding and it seemed like the perfect opportunity”.
Investing over £40,000 has resulted in the installation of eight brand new Rotary hydraulic lifts including one for long wheel-base vehicles which is suitable for funeral limousines. It’s all been finished off with brand new flooring, resulting in a dramatic transformation.
Star Tech turns 15 years old on April 10th and the Mercedes, BMW & Jaguar Specialist Centre has come a very long way since those early days in 2006. With an ever-expanding team of 13, Matt has big plans for further growth this year and has never held back when investing in highly skilled, dealer trained staff and state of the art diagnostic equipment.
Matt added “We have grown so much as a company since opening the doors with just myself and another technician. I am so proud of our growing team, it feels like one big family and we hope that vibe is felt by our customers when they visit.”
Indeed, Star Tech has always been a family run business with Tina, Matt’s wife, working as Marketing Manager with over 25 years experience in the motor industry having previously worked for a Mercedes-Benz main dealer. They have two teenage children together.
Tina said “Last year’s birthday celebratory Open Day was sadly cancelled but we hope to welcome everyone to join us at some point later this year when it’s safe to do so. We will have the fizz & food ready to celebrate. We will keep you all posted!”
